PROTEIN INTAKE FOR TARGET 2035
Thank you for your interest in providing protein to SGC for ligand screening to help us achieve the aims of Target 2035.
The purpose of this Intake Form is to help us determine whether your protein may be suitable for screening in one of our research programs.
- Review timeline: SGC will attempt to review your submitted Intake Form and respond within 7 days.
- Next steps: If your protein appears suitable, we may invite you to submit a Full Submission Form, which will request additional information and data about your protein.
- Terms: Submitting an Intake Form carries no obligations. However, submitting a Full Submission Form will require agreement to SGC’s click-wrap protein submission terms and conditions, which can be reviewed here.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SUBMISSION
- Protein amount: 120 nmol (equals to 6 mg of a 50 kDa protein)
- Purity: >90% soluble, no aggregation
- Tags:
Mandatory: His-Tag
Preferred: Biotin-labeled (either through Avi-tag or another Tag/treatment)

ALIQUOT REQUIREMENTS BY PLATFORM
| Platform |
Total Amount |
No. of Aliquots |
Aliquot Sizes |
| E-ASMS |
20 nmol total |
3+ aliquots |
1 tube for ASMS QC: min. 3 nmol 2+ tubes combined: 17 nmol |
| DEL |
4 nmol minimum, 8–12 nmol preferred |
1–3 |
4 nmol in first aliquot. If sending more, divide into additional aliquots and indicate amount in each. Send in 1.5–1.7 mL microcentrifuge tubes. |
| Hit Characterization |
~100 nmol |
Maximum 4 tubes |
1 tube for SPR: 30 µg Remainder split across max. 3 tubes |
Quick reminders:
- E-ASMS – always reserve one dedicated QC tube (≥3 nmol); the remaining 17 nmol goes into two or more combined tubes.
- Hit Characterization – the SPR tube (30 µg) is always separate; the rest is split across no more than three additional tubes (four tubes maximum overall).
- DEL – 4 nmol in one aliquot, additional protein in additional aliquots with amount indicated; send in 1.5–1.7 mL microcentrifuge tubes.
MANDATORY QUALITY CONTROL DATA REQUIRED FOR FULL SUBMISSION
If your protein is accepted, you will need to provide:
- Purification data (final SDS-PAGE gel, storage buffer, etc.)
- Size Exclusion and Mass Spectrometry profiles after 1 freeze/thaw cycles and 2 hours incubation at room temperature
- Thermal Shift Assay with DMSO
