DYRK1A protein was produced as for the previous SGC structure with PDB ID 2VX3.

The protein was concentrated to 10.5 mg/ml and the Leucettine L41 compound (K00940) was added to a concentration of 1 mM.

Crystals were obtained using the vapour diffusion method by mixing 100nl of the concentrated protein with 50 nl of a well solution containing 0.03M MgCl2, 22% polyacrylic acid 5100, 0.1M HEPES pH 8.2.

Crystals were cryoprotected using the well solution supplemented with 25% ethylene glycol and frozen in liquid nitrogen. Diffraction data was collected at Diamond beamline I04.
